Baptists in Israel will celebrate 100 years of service for the Savior in the Holy Land in 2011!
The Baptist House in Jerusalem was established in 1925 and is one of Jerusalem's oldest Protestant institutions. Jerusalem Baptist Church is a member of the Baptist Convention of Israel and is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention of the United States.
Over the years, faithful congregants have joyfully served in many positions throughout Israel and partnered with many denominations and organizations to serve the Savior here. Each Sunday, the worship service is filled with people from many nations, and visitors from around the globe. You may be surprised to find someone from your hometown worshiping with us when you visit!
The Baptist House currently enjoys the partnership of 4 congregations in the building: Jerusalem Baptist Church (English), Narkis Street Church (English), El Ro'i (Hebrew), and Even Israel (Russian).
There have been two of incidents of vandalism to the building in the past 30 years, but God graciously used these to bring community support to JBC from neighborhood residents and local synagogues.

"I prayed for Faith, and thought that some day Faith would come down and strike me like lightning. But faith did not seem to come. One day I read in the tenth chapter of Romans, 'Now Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.' I closed my Bible, and prayed for Faith. I now opened my Bible, and began to study, and Faith has been growing every since." ~ D. L. Moody
